Zeeshan Siddique, the son of slain NCP leader Baba Siddique, has raised concerns over the slow progress in the investigation of his father’s murder. In a meeting with Joint Commissioner of Police Gautam Lakhmi, Siddique expressed dissatisfaction with the Mumbai Police’s refusal to provide the chargesheet and the lack of interrogation of key suspects.

Baba Siddique was tragically shot dead on October 12 by three assailants near his son’s office in Nirmal Nagar, Mumbai. Zeeshan Siddique claimed that the police had yet to question the individuals he and his family suspected of being involved in the crime. Siddique also criticized the police for focusing solely on Lawrence Bishnoi, the prime suspect, without addressing other possible angles, including the involvement of builders and developers connected to the case.

Siddique further pointed to the premature narrative that Bishnoi was behind the murder, questioning why police were not making efforts to interrogate him in Mumbai. In his conversation with the Joint Commissioner, Siddique expressed concerns about the protection of certain builders who may be linked to the crime.

In addition to meeting the Joint Commissioner, Siddique plans to reach out to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy CM Ajit Pawar for support. He is also considering legal action to challenge the ongoing investigation if his concerns are not addressed.
