The layoff streak seems to be catching up like a trend in the IT companies. Now the biggest IT giant, Google is planning to short-size its manpower by at least 10000. It is in the process of devising a data-based decision on employees to be selected for the impending layoff.   The new score and average overall performance system will be used to facilitate managers pushing underperforming workers out.

The Company is reportedly gearing up for the mammoth mission ahead with the help of its digital techniques to decide objectively about the specific employee to be laid off during this exercise.

The current trend of layoffs may be seen just an extension of trying times the IT companies are facing and major reduction of employee strength was announced in big companies like Meta, Amazon, Twitter Byzus etc.

This action becomes all the more horrifying in the light of warnings of recessions issued recently by the Corporate think tanks like Jeff Bezos. Now it is to be seen how the world responds to these tough times ahead and how it adapts to the changed circumstances after these major layoffs of big companies.
