In India, the brand Bisleri is well-known for its packaged water bottles. As numerous local businesses attempt to mimic the name of the water bottle brand, it has become a synonym.

The popular brand was created by Ramesh Chauhan, who is also credited with creating the well-known brand’s Thumbs Up, Gold Spot, and Limca.

Tata Consumer Products, an FMGC company, recently expressed interest in buying the brand for Rs 7,000 crore but the transaction is not yet finalized.

According to reports, Bisleri is predicted to make 220 crore rupees in profit in the fiscal year 2023. In 2021 and 2020, the company reported profits of Rs 95 crore and Rs 100 crore, respectively.

According to Chauhan, no one is in charge of managing the business. His daughter has no desire to work for the Bisleri company. Before turning over control to the company, the current management will stay in place for another two years.

According to Chauhan, he won't retain a minority ownership interest in the company. The funds will be used for water harvesting, charity, and plastic recycling.
