AAP leader Sanjay Singh alleged that BJP offered ₹15 crore to seven AAP candidates to switch parties before the Delhi election results. He claimed BJP’s actions indicate fear of defeat. The BJP has not responded yet. The election results on February 8 will determine the political future of Delhi.

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh has alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) attempted to lure seven AAP candidates with bribes of ₹15 crore each to switch sides ahead of the Delhi assembly election results. Addressing the media on Thursday, Singh claimed that BJP representatives had contacted these candidates over the phone and, in some cases, even met them in person to persuade them to join the party.

He asserted that these developments indicate the BJP has accepted its defeat even before the results are announced. Singh further stated that AAP has advised its candidates to record such conversations and use spy cameras if approached with offers.

The BJP has yet to respond to these allegations. However, the claim has intensified the already charged political atmosphere in Delhi. Voting across the 70 constituencies took place on February 5, with the Election Commission of India (ECI) reporting a 60.42% voter turnout. The results, scheduled for February 8, will determine whether AAP secures a third consecutive term or if the BJP ends its long absence from power in the national capital.

Exit polls have presented mixed predictions, with some suggesting a BJP victory while others forecast an AAP win. The Congress party, meanwhile, is expected to continue its declining performance in the state. As the political tension rises, all eyes remain on the upcoming results to see how the electoral battle unfolds.
