PM Modi arrives in Assam to launch ₹14,300 crore worth of projects

in Assam today as Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrives in the state to
inaugurate several ambitious projects worth around ₹14,300 crore. From laying
the foundation stone of the Assam Advanced Health Care Innovation Institute to
dedicating the AIIMS Guwahati and three other medical colleges to the nation,
PM Modi's itinerary is packed with back-to-back events.

Modi's 'Aapke Dwar Ayushman' to provide health insurance coverage in Assam
The prime minister will also launch the 'Aapke Dwar Ayushman' campaign, aimed at providing health insurance coverage to eligible beneficiaries under the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY). The event will witness the distribution of AB-PMJAY cards to beneficiaries.
PM Modi's Assam Visit: A Celebration of Culture and Progress
PM Modi's visit also coincides with the
celebration of Rongali Bihu, the Assamese New Year. The prime minister will
preside over a public function at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati, where he will
witness a vibrant Bihu performance by over 10,000 Bihu dancers. Furthermore, he
is scheduled to inaugurate various projects, including the commencement of a
500 TPD Menthol Plant in Namrup, the laying of the foundation stone for the
embellishment of Rang Ghar in Sivasagar, and the laying of the foundation stone
for a bridge spanning the Brahmaputra River that connects Palashbari and
Sualkuchi.

three times a year, with Rongali Bihu being the most significant of them all.
