A Bengaluru college student took to social media, claiming that the Koramangala police refused to file a First Information Report (FIR) after she was assaulted by an unknown man. According to an X post, the 19-year-old was attacked while on her way to college early in the morning. The man allegedly blocked her path, shouted at her, and threw a slipper at her, striking her leg. Despite reporting the incident, she claimed that the police made her wait for hours at the station and only provided an acknowledgement, omitting key details of her complaint.

The victim's advocate, via social media, called on Bengaluru police officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), to intervene. The post demanded justice and strict action against both the accused and the officers who allegedly refused to file the FIR.
