In Hyderabad, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi stated that BJP leaders had been asserting that two of their MPs voted against the Women’s Reservation Bill. He pointed out that 450 MPs voted in favor of it, and only 2 voted against the bill. Owaisi went on to explain, When it was suggested that 450 MPs were opposed to my stance, I informed the entire country that Congress and BJP were collaborating, and Samajwadi Party and Congress were also aligned. He emphasized, I am fighting against PM Modi on my own while all of you are unified.
The AIMIM chief stated that leaders from Congress, Samajwadi Party, and Lalu Yadav’s party (RJD) were hesitant to mention Muslims’ names in Parliament. He emphasized that he had advocated for reservations for Muslim and OBC women, countering accusations of being against women. Owaisi argued that those who opposed these reservations were, in fact, against women, OBCs, and Muslims.
He also challenged Rahul Gandhi, saying that he should contest elections from Hyderabad and not Wayanad. Owaisi mentioned that despite the Congress making various statements, he was ready for the challenge. He also pointed out that the Babri Masjid and Secretariat’s mosque were demolished during the Congress regime.
Asaduddin Owaisi expressed concern about the behavior of a BJP MP who verbally abused a Muslim MP in Parliament. He remarked that people were criticizing the inappropriate language used in Parliament by a representative elected by the citizens. Owaisi further stated his fear that mob lynching might occur against a Muslim within the country’s Parliament in the future. He questioned the absence of the “Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas” (Together with All, Development for All) principle and criticized the Prime Minister for remaining silent on such matters.
