Actually, the AICPI index data is released on the last day of each month. The estimate AICPI Index for December 2022 will be released on January 31, 2022 and that will decide the actual figure of increment.  Let's See How Much it Can be: Dearness Allowance will be disclosed in March 2023 for the first half of the year 2023, means January to June 2023. However, the final figures will be available by January 31. Basically, the dearness allowance is determined by the AICPI index. The Government raises the dearness allowance in response to the index's rising prices of several important items. So far, figures through November 2022 have been released. The index value is 132.5. In that case, the dearness allowance of employees of the Central Government will be increased by 3%. If somehow the indexes hold steady in December, their dearness allowance will rise by 3%. However, if the December figure rises by one point, the DA Hike may also be 4%. However, it appears that its chances are low. Why is the AICPI Index figure not rising? According to experts, the December Rate and inflation figures were released on January 12. In this regard, retail inflation dropped to its lowest level in the past year in December month, at 5.72%. During the same time, retail inflation throughout November was 5.88%. When retail inflation fell in November, the AICPI index remained unchanged. In Oct. 2022, the AICPI index used to be 132.5 points, and it remained unchanged in November too. In such a case, analysts claim that the AICPI index will stay constant in December 2022. Even when the index moves slightly, the DA will only rise by 3%. Dearness Allowance Dearness Allowance   How much may Increase central employees' DA? From July 2022, central employees used to receive a 38% DA. Whereas an employee's basic salary is Rs 18000K, he receives Rs 6K and 840 rupees monthly. However, in the case of a 3% rise, the DA can become 41% and the employee's DA may be like 7380 rupees. This implies that their monthly DA will rise by a count of Rs 540. How soon will the DA for 2023  be Announced? For central Government Employees, the rate of increment of Dearness Allowance will be confirmed on January 31.
