Firozpur Police Conducts Raids Targeting Associates of Lakhbir Singh

In a significant crackdown, Firozpur Police executed a series of raids on the premises of associates linked to Lakhbir Singh, famously known as Landa.

As per reports, these operations, spanning 48 different locations across the district, have resulted in multiple detentions.

According to D. Randhir Kumar, the Superintendent of Police in Firozpur, a series of raids were conducted simultaneously at different sites throughout the district, leading to the arrest of a significant number of individuals.

"Raids have been conducted at 48 places in the entire district and many people have also been detained,” he said.

Furthermore, the officer added that the individuals taken into custody are currently undergoing a verification process.

The video, shared by ANI on platform X, captures the officers in action as they carry out the raid, where they visit the residences of each of the individuals and thoroughly search their premises.

Recently, the NIA declared cash incentives as a reward for any information that may result in the capture of five operatives associated with the Babbar Khalsa

International (BKI) one of whom is Lakhbir Singh Sandhu, also known as 'Landa.'

The BKI operative, who hails from Tarn Taran in Punjab, is currently believed to be residing in Edmonton, which is located in Alberta, Canada.

A spokesperson of the NIA informed, "The wanted terrorists are accused of commission of terror acts and activities, besides raising funds for the BKI, a banned terror outfit, through smuggling of terrorist hardware and narcotics into Punjab and also through extensive extortion from businessmen and other prominent individuals."

He further revealed, "They are also wanted in cases relating to the commissioning of targeted killings as well as targeting of law enforcement agencies in order to create an environment of terror in the state of Punjab."
