Intelligence inputs from Canada have revealed that Sukhdool Singh, also known as Sukha Duneke, a prominent member of the Davinder Bambiha gang from Punjab's

Moga district, has been killed in an inter-gang rivalry.

While the exact location of his death remains unconfirmed, reports suggest it occurred in Winnipeg, Canada. This incident mirrors the killing of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in a similar inter-gang warfare in Surrey on June 19, where Nijjar was shot with 15 bullets.

Sukha Duneke had fled to Canada from India in 2017, using forged documents, and had seven criminal cases registered against him. He was one of the 29 gangsters from the Punjab region and nearby areas who sought refuge outside India to evade the law.

Canada has been a prominent host country for these individuals, despite India's accusations of sheltering criminals. Not only Canada but there are many other countries who have given shelters to criminals like Amrit Bal from Kapurthala, Harvinder Singh from Nanded, Jagjeet Singh from Ludhiana, and Ramanjit Singh from Bhatinda to name a few.

Duneke had played a significant role in aiding, funding, and strengthening the Davinder Bambiha gang's operations in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Rajasthan. While he had some inclination towards pro-Khalistan outfits, his criminal activities primarily revolved around extortion calls and contract killings.

Sukha Duneke featured prominently on the list of most-wanted criminals in Punjab, with over 20 criminal cases, including murder and other serious offenses, registered against him in Punjab and neighboring states.

One notable incident involved his alleged conspiracy to kill kabaddi player Sandeep Singh Nangal with the help of his associates during a kabaddi match at Mallian village in Jalandhar on March 14 last year.
