new delhi. Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar lashed out at Pakistan without naming it when the issue of Kashmir came up at a United Nations meeting in New York. Jaishankar said the credibility of the United Nations depends on an effective response to the great challenges of our time, be it pandemics, climate change, conflict or terrorism. Referring to Pakistan, the foreign minister said, the issue of justifying what the world considers unacceptable should not arise.

Pakistan raised the issue of Kashmir in the UN
Pointing to Pakistan, Jaishankar said it hosted Osama bin Laden and attacked the neighboring country's parliament. He doesn't have to preach in the United Nations. Jaishankar's response came after Bilawal Bhutto raised the issue of Kashmir at a UN Security Council meeting convened to debate the new orientation for reformed multilateralism (NORM) under India's December presidency.
Pakistan talks about peace and security
Pakistan's foreign minister said the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is primarily responsible for maintaining international peace and security. He added that multilateral solutions under the umbrella of the Security Council provide the most effective approach to promote peace and resolve conflicts. Bhutto said Pakistan firmly believes that major security problems, including its territory, can be solved effectively and peacefully through the active participation of the Security Council.
Jaishan lashed out at Pakistan
Chairing an open debate at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on 'International Peace and Security and New Directions for Reformed Multilateralism', Jaishankar said: 'We are clearly focused today on the urgency of multilateralism reform. Of course we will have our own special views, but at least there is a growing consensus that this cannot be delayed any further. He said: “The question of justifying what the world considers unacceptable should not come up. Jai Shankar lashed out at Pakistan, saying those who attacked the neighboring country's parliament and hosted bin Laden should not be allowed to preach.
