Indian woman, 24-year-old, dies in car accident in Pennsylvania

Indian woman Arshia Joshi, 24, died in an automobile accident in Pennsylvania, USA. In a statement, the Indian Consulate in New York said they are making every effort to provide "possible assistance to transport her mortal remains to India as soon as possible."

The Indian Consulate General in New York tweeted its sincere sympathies to the family of Ms. Arshia Joshi, a young lady who was tragically killed in a car accident in Pennsylvania on March 21st, early on Sunday morning. I hope she has eternal peace with her spirit.

The tweet continued, "Extending all possible assistance to transport her mortal remains to India at the earliest," and named several organizations, including the Indian Embassy in Washington, D.C, the Consular, Passport and Visa (CPV) Division, the External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, and the Union Ministry of External Affairs.

According to a story from the PTI news agency, Arshia Joshi recently received her high school diploma.

While everything is going on, Joshi's family in Delhi is getting assistance in transferring her body from Team AID, a U.S.-based volunteer organization that helps persons living abroad in times of need.
