The sentencing for self-described Godman Amarpuri alias Billu (Jalebi Baba), who was found guilty of rape on January 5, will be announced by a Fatehabad court in Haryana on Monday.Amarpuri, also known as "Jalebi Baba," was apprehended by the Haryana Police in 2018 after they discovered 120 allegedly explicit film clips of Jalebi Baba in the Fatehabad district's Tohana town.
Bimla Devi, who was in charge of the women's police unit in Fatehabad at the time, had certified that the accused Amarpuri of Baba Balak Nath Mandir, Tohana, had 120 obscene video clippings removed from their phone.
It appears the person who engaged in sexual activity in these clippings is the same Jalebi Baba, though the cyber squad has evaluated it, the police officer continued. Although two of the victims have already come forward, it is unknown whether the videos for them were also made. Mobile phones were used to create all of the video clippings.
According to officials, the inquiry indicated that the women had previously gone to the Jalebi Baba, believing that many of their issues were connected to ghosts. "The accused (Jalebi Baba) is an accused tantric (occultist) who used to give the women medicines in some liquid.”
