Jurassic-era:-
If you happen to visit Walmart someday, chances are you will be buying groceries, electronics, apparel, accessories, or maybe pet food. But one man from Arkansas found something remarkably unusual while shopping in Walmart.  The man is named Michael Skvarla and is a scientist by profession. Skvarla was on a routine shopping trip to Walmart for milk in 2012 when he discovered the rare Jurassic-era giant insect. Jurassic-era Jurassic-era The Director of Penn State’s insect identification lab remembers the incident clearly on where and when he found the Giant Lacewing.  However, as Skvarla was done shopping and reached home, he passed over the insect. He thought the insect to be an antlion and forgot about it for almost a decade.  In 2020, during the Covid pandemic, Skvarla started taking online classes and displayed his personal insect collection to his students. That's when he noticed the insect he caught at Walmart 8 years ago wasn't a normal antlion but The Giant Lacewing.  One of the doctoral candidates present in the class, Codey Mathis, expressed her delight in observing the Great Lacewing. Her excitement wasn't shortlived, as the later study of the specimen under the microscope proved beyond doubt about the true identity of the insect.  "Here we were making a true discovery in the middle of an online lab course," an excited Codey Mathis said. Jurassic-era Jurassic-era The scientific name of the Giant Lacewing is "Polystoechotes punctata," and scientists are dating its origin back to the Jurassic era of the earth. The giant lacewings, once found in abundance, surprisingly disappeared from the USA. It was last spotted in Eastern North America during the 1950s.  The discovery of the Giant Lacewing and its roots connecting to the times of dinosaurs has caused a stir inside the scientific community. While many believe that the "super rare" insect can be found in the remotest places of the Ozark mountain, it will be interesting to see the developments on the same in the coming time.  For more updates keep visiting our website www.topstoriesworld.com where we provide unbiased, true, and top stories of the world.
