Olympic bronze medalist Bajrang Punia has been provisionally suspended by NADA for failing to provide a dope test sample, putting his participation at the Paris Olympics in doubt.
The current situation is the provisional suspension of Indian freestyle wrestler Bajrang Punia by NADA the National Anti-Doping Agency as he failed to provide urinal samples in the trials conducted on March 10, 2023, in Sonipat. Such a ban may effectively keep him out of the Olympic Games which are to be held in the city of Paris.
The announcement of the NADA on April 23, that the athlete has been “provisionally suspended from participation in any competition or activity pending a hearing on the case” which will take place to reach a decision, confirms that the athlete in question is not allowed to take part in any competition or activity.
2020 Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist and 29-year-old wrestler in the 65 kg freestyle wrestling who qualified third cannot attend any official wrestling tournaments or events until the suspension is examined and lifted. Such organization misconduct will disrupt his preparation for the Parisian Olympics which will take place between July and August in 2024.
Turning to him, he relies that he was not asked for the answer. In X, (formerly Twitter) he wrote that NADA brought an expired kit of tests that he asked questions about before he was enabled to do the tests.

"I test negative on the test. I also have not given a sample to the NADA officials," Punia said. "Did they just leave it there at my house or take them back to do the actual test?" I asked them.
The Grandest medal anticipation of India at Paris 2024, Punia, will get back both the lawyer, Vidush Singhania, and the NADA letter soon. The wrestling world will be one of the close followers of the progression of the anti-doping case that is integrally involved with one of the most prominent wrestlers of the sport.
