Navya Naveli Nanda, who previously addressed the prevalent sexism she faced within her household, has now revealed that she and her brother, Agastya Nanda, share the responsibilities of household chores equally. As the grandchildren of renowned actors Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan, Navya and Agastya primarily grew up in New Delhi alongside their parents.

During a recent interview with Josh Talks, Navya expressed her gratitude for growing up in an egalitarian environment, which has become even more evident now that both she and her brother have begun earning their own income. While Navya pursues social entrepreneurship, Agastya is on the cusp of embarking on his acting career.

When asked about her previous statement regarding managing household finances, Navya, in Hindi, shared a valuable insight passed on to her by her grandmother, which she cherishes deeply. She recounted her grandmother's words, emphasizing that women possess innate entrepreneurial abilities and exceptional management skills. Navya expressed that the role of a homemaker is no less significant than that of a CEO running a company. She further acknowledged her mother's role in raising both her and her brother, instilling values and principles that have shaped their upbringing.

She further added that the responsibility of managing finances and budgeting was divided equally between her and her brother. As they now earn independently, both of them have gained a deeper understanding of the value of money. Navya emphasized that they share tasks regardless of traditional gender roles, with her handling household finances while her brother is capable of making tea for guests when they visit.

Recognizing the challenges women face in the world, Shweta acknowledged being tougher on Navya, as she believes that women need to be stronger, more vigilant, and cautious.

During an interview with SheThePeople, Navya recounted an observation she made within her own home, stating, "I have witnessed situations where, if guests were present, my mother would often ask me to assist with various tasks. I would find myself taking on the role of the host, while my brother could be engaged in similar activities."
