With the successful construction of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, this time would be reduced to a mere 12-hour journey. The Delhi-Mumbai Expressway would connect some important cities such as Gurugram, Indore, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota and Vadodara. The states that the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway would be passing through are MP, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Rajasthan and Haryana. The time of road travel between Gurugram and Jaipur was 4-5 hours earlier and it would be reduced to 2 hours with the construction of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway. However, according to current estimates, the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway is expected to be functional by the end of the fiscal year 2023- 24 according to Nitin Gadkari. This means the project is expected to conclude in the initial months of the year 2024.
