He was battling for long with illness and died in a hospital in Dubai, as per reports. He was living in a self-imposed exile at the time of his death. The man who was born in Delhi and moved to Pakistan at the age of 4; made a name for himself through his work and courage. He joined the army at the age of 18, before finally becoming the head. He was a 4-star general before becoming the Dictator of Pakistan in 1999. "He gave Pakistan a free media and he stressed on diversity of opinion in Pakistan," Chaudhry said in a video message. But it was not all gold for him. He is often blamed for the birth of a new militant group, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, which has killed tens of thousands of people since its inception.
