Prime Minister Modi Initiates AMRUT Projects, Unveils Developments in Solapur, Maharashtra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for key development projects in Solapur, Maharashtra, including AMRUT initiatives and housing under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Additionally, in Karnataka, he launched Boeing's innovative campus, the Sukanya Program, and initiatives to empower women in aviation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a transformative journey in Solapur, Maharashtra, where he laid the foundation stones for eight pivotal projects under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT). The groundbreaking ceremony, held around 10:45 am, marked a significant step towards bolstering urban infrastructure and fostering development in the southern Maharashtra city.

The projects, collectively valued at approximately Rs 2,000 crore, encompass a spectrum of initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents. An official release from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) highlighted the multifaceted nature of these projects, contributing to the holistic development of Solapur. These endeavors align with the government's commitment to urban rejuvenation and address various aspects of urban living.

In addition to the AMRUT projects, Prime Minister Modi dedicated more than 90,000 houses built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban). This move was a testament to the government's commitment to providing affordable housing and ensuring dignified living conditions for a wide spectrum of beneficiaries. The recipients included handloom workers, vendors, powerloom workers, rag pickers, Bidi workers, and drivers, underscoring the inclusive nature of the housing initiative.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister inaugurated the Raynagar Housing Society in Solapur, celebrating the completion of 15,000 houses. This society holds particular significance as its beneficiaries spanned various occupational backgrounds, reflecting a comprehensive approach to addressing housing needs across diverse demographics.

During the program, Prime Minister Modi initiated the distribution of the first and second installments to 10,000 beneficiaries of the PM-SVANIDHI scheme in Maharashtra. The comprehensive initiatives undertaken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Solapur reflect a strategic approach towards holistic development, encompassing urban infrastructure, affordable housing, and support for small businesses.
