Upon regaining his position as an MP in the Lok Sabha, Rahul
Gandhi appears to have taken charge of the Opposition in the lower house of the
Parliament.
During his speech on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi launched an attack aimed at the Prime Minister, asserting that the PM himself is responsible for the murder of "Bharat Mata" in Manipur. Following this, he also said, "This is the reason why the Prime Minister cannot go to Manipur since he has murdered Hindustan in Manipur."
Amidst the pleas of Speaker Om Birla, who requested the House to remain seated and maintain decorum, Rahul Gandhi continued calling the Prime Minister "Bharat Mata ka hatyara," which means the murderer of Bharat Mata. He also went on to say that PM Modi is not a patriot but a traitor.
Continuing his address, Rahul Gandhi questioned, "If
Narendra Modiji does not listen to the voice of Hindustan, then who does he
listen to?" With MPs shouting 'Adani' in the background, he answered his
own query by saying, "Like Ravan who listened to only two people, Meghanad
and Kumbhakarna, similarly, Narendra Modiji just listens to Amit Shah and
Adani."
While drawing mythological references, the Congress leader
said, "Neither Lanka was burnt by Hanuman ji nor did Ram kill Ravan, it
was his ego that destroyed everything."
Rahul Gandhi ended his speech accusing the NDA-led government
of destroying the state of Manipur and killing the essence of a united India.
He stated that PM Modi has poured kerosene on the entire country, first in
Manipur and now in Haryana.
