Russia Warns US Embassy in Moscow Not to Make ‘False Statements’ About Russia’s Ukraine Military Operation

 US Embassy:- The US embassy in Moscow received a harsh message from Russia urging it to stop propagating fake news and rigorously adhere to Russian law whenever it makes any remarks on Russia's armed troops in Ukraine. On February 7, Russian news agency confirmed that Moscow has received a warning from Russia to expel US officials if they violate Russian law and are proven to be involved in any inaccurate or subversive activity. US Embassy US Embassy Further confirming the event, a representative for the US embassy said that the embassy had received a diplomatic note on Tuesday from the Russian foreign ministry accusing US diplomats of making unacceptable comments about the Russian government. In addition, the official statement from Russia stated that "discrediting the Russian military forces is a punishable crime with up to five years in prison. Additionally, the maximum term for the allegation of intentionally disseminating false information about the military is 15 years. Last year on February 24, Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, made the decision to send tens of thousands of military troops as a part of a special Ukraine military operation. Putin claims that the Ukraine military operation is intended to safeguard Russia's security against NATO's enlargement to the east.
