In a significant update regarding the attack on Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan, Mumbai Police have formed 20 investigative teams to identify and capture the assailant. The incident occurred early Thursday morning when an intruder broke into Khan’s residence in the Satguru Sharan building, Bandra, and stabbed him along with two others.

The police are reviewing CCTV footage that captured the suspect’s escape. A young man was seen wearing a brown collared T-shirt and a red scarf, and authorities believe he may have changed clothes after the attack. Initial investigations suggest the suspect was armed with a wooden stick and a Hexa blade, the weapon used in the stabbing.

Investigators are also tapping their network of informers and questioning individuals, including the building's security personnel, house staff, and neighbours, to gather more leads. The actor, who suffered six stab wounds including one to his neck, was quickly rushed to Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. He underwent emergency surgery and is reportedly out of danger.

The assailant reportedly attempted a burglary before the violent attack. In addition to Khan, two others, including a nurse and a domestic worker, were injured in the attack. The police are continuing their search for the attacker, who remains at large.
