Apple trainer’s watch has an inbuild Siri, a virtual assistant that triggers the call for any dangerous situation around them. Siri functions as a watchdog in an emergency situation for the person who wears apple watch. Any emergency situation happening around, Siri triggers the call for police. The technology sends an emergency alarm to the users, and if the alarm is not dismissed within minute or more, Siri detects a crime and report to the emergency call centre.
Siri Calls for an Emergency Service
Such an incident took place in an Australian Gym, Sydney. Siri called for emergency services after it misheard Muay Thai fighter and boxing instructor of the Gym during their training session. As stated by the gym owner, Andrew Parnham, the trainer triggered the Siri for an emergency call. During the practice session, the trainer was shouting the scores of boxing combination (1, 1-2) and praising the players as ‘good shot’. After hearing the conversation at the Gym, Siri triggered emergency call to police. She alarmed the user of the danger and then dialled 112 (emergency number of Australia and other countries). The police then raided the Gym after being allegedly reported by the Apple assistant. They informed Parnham, that they have been reported about the shots fired inside the gym. Several ambulances stood outside; Parnham added. About 15 police officers and undercovers showed up in the Gym; the trainer said to news.com. The apple assistant Siri was mistakenly activated by the side press during the session.
