Sunday is the most awaited day of the week. It is meant to just leisurely stay around and do some self care. After a hectic schedule from Monday to Saturday, Sunday comes as a ray of sunshine (although we don't want that sunshine to wake us up on Sunday morning).
Everyone has a different way to spend their well deserved leisure day. It can range from laying around and doing absolutely nothing to self care to going out to spending time with loved ones. For some it is a day to complete all the week's pending work while others just make it productive somehow.
But for most of us we wake up on Monday only to feel like a wreck and already behind the to-do list. This forces us to slip into negativity very easily on Sundays due to pressure of being productive and making the most out of the week.
The only way to step out of this negativity is by doing something about it and not only make the week full of motivation and energy but also enjoy the Sunday that feels good inside out.
Sunday reset routine with affirmations is what we are going to discuss now to give messy Sundays (and Mondays) a farewell and boost Sunday to lead a controlled week ahead.
The Sunday reset routines keep you organized and less stressed. Here are a few ways in which you can make your own Sunday reset routine using affirmations:
1. Affirmation practice:
First and foremost it is utterly important to choose the Affirmations that you believe and not just the first one you come across. Choose the Affirmations that resonate with your goals and core values.
Once you've chosen your affirmations repeat these aloud or silently to yourself at least once a day. This could be done when you wake up or when you are putting yourself together or even at night at the end of your day.
There is another way in which you can practice affirmations which includes writing it down and placing it at a visible space so that you can read it many times in a day. That way you can remind yourself of the affirmation whenever your negative inner dialogue starts talking.
2. Visualisation:
You can combine your affirmations with visualization. Start by creating a clear mental image of yourself already achieving your goals. Visualize even the smallest details like what you are wearing, your surroundings.
Then, pair this visualization with your affirmations that reinforce that image. For instance, if your affirmation is, “I am confident and successful,” envision yourself confidently accomplishing your goals. Visualize the emotions of joy, satisfaction, and fulfillment that come with being successful. Repeat the affirmation to strengthen these images in your mind, reinforcing your belief in your own confidence and success.
3. Affirmation Journaling:
Keeping a journal where you write down affirmations can prove to be a potent approach to internalize positive beliefs and monitor your growth. For this you have to take out time separately to do journaling.
As you engage in this practice, you can incorporate a brief visualization exercise or pause between affirmations to fully internalize each one.
Now here we come to few Affirmations suggested for you to incorporate in your Reset Sunday Routine:
