The Taliban Proposes to Have its Spokesperson at the Indian Capital: A Difficult Diplomatic Call for India Author: Debarati Pal The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan or the EIA, led by the Taliban government has proposed an unfounded request before the Indian Government. The Taliban recently requested India to have one of their spokespersons as a diplomatic representative at the capital city of New Delhi. It is speculated that the proposed candidate for the endeavor at New Delhi, is Mr. Abdul Qahar Balkhi, a prominent member of the Taliban and a spokesman known for having made controversial statements. Taliban Proposes Taliban Proposes Balkhi, the Talibani Spokesperson The controversial spokesman Balkhi, has responded to many international officials earlier. He replied to questions put up by the UN regarding atrocities committed by the Taliban upon women of the country, by saying that there is no issue regarding women in the country at all. The UN and Western countries only try to highlight the issue of women in Afghanistan to channelize their bias against the Taliban in his opinion. Balkhi has also allegedly threatened many journalists with death. Current Position Regarding the Request by the Taliban The Indian government has yet not responded to the unreasonable request of the Taliban regarding having Balkhi at New Delhi, owing to innumerable possibilities and consequences that a positive nod from India might have, most of which are likely to be unfavorable for India. The intelligence agencies at New Delhi have also confirmed the Taliban’s ties with the terrorist groups of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed and Al-Qaeda, all of which have been active in Indian terror attacks. It is indeed a difficult diplomatic call for India.   Taliban Proposes Taliban Proposes Do visit our website for such more news, facts, article where we share The True Stories of The World, The TopStoriesWorld.Com
