Sir Michael Gambon, the famous actor who played Dumbledore in Harry Potter and starred in movies like The Cook, the Thief, His Wife & Her Lover, Gosford Park, and A View from the Bridge, has passed away at 82, his family confirmed.


He was known for his incredible acting on stage and in movies. He peacefully passed away at home, as shared by his family with the PA News Agency. His wife Lady Gambon and son Fergus Gambon, through publicist Clair Dobbs, expressed their deep sorrow: "We are devastated to announce the loss of Sir Michael Gambon."

They explained that he had passed away in the hospital, with his wife Anne and son Fergus by his side, after dealing with pneumonia. Michael was 82.
