Umeedo ka Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh Plans to Boost GSDP!: Know The Strategy

The state of Uttar Pradesh has set its goal to boost its GSDP to 1 trillion dollars within 2027.For achieving this feat, the State government has planned to focus on the quick development of two regions, namely— Bundelkhand and Purvanchal.

Plans for GSDP Expansion

Two committees namely, Purvanchal Vikas Committee and the Bundelkhand Vikas Committee have been set up. Both of these are chaired by the Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath himself.

The economic advisor to the CM of UP said, “A national seminar was held at Banda University of Agriculture and Technology on January 10 and 11, 2020. We have condensed the large number of papers presented there and these papers obviously have focused on the development of the two regions.”

Development Plans in Purvanchal

The following are on the list for developing Purvanchal:

1. Developing the township of Gorakhpur

2. A University for Agriculture in Kushinagar

3. Maa Vindhyavasini corridor in Mirzapur

4. Kashi Vishwanath corridor in Varanasi

5. Airports at Ayodhya and Kushinagar

   
   

Development Plans in Bundelkhand

Some items on the list for developing Bundelkhand:

1. Defence Corridor, Bundelkhand

2. Jhansi Industrial Development Authority

3. A Pharma Park, Lalitpur

To fulfill these plans the State Government had also invited funding at the Global Investors Summit-2023 held in February this year.
