AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has slammed the Assam government and CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma over the elimination of child marriage in the state. Owaisi stated his concern over the poor girls after their husbands are arrested. The face of Hyderabad said,  "What will happen to those girls who have been married? The Assam government has booked 4000 cases and is talking of booking 4000 more. So, who will take care of those girls? You are putting a mountain of troubles over them."    Himanta Biswa Himanta Biswa He further added that it is the "failure" of the state government to curb the malpractices of child marriage even after being in power for 6 years. He also alleged the Assam state government is biased against Muslims. He stated, "You (Assam Government) have already booked 4,000 cases and are in the process of booking another 4,000. Why are they not opening new schools? Open new schools. The BJP Government in Assam is a biased government against Muslims,"  Notably, Himanta Biswa Sharma said earlier that the judicial custody against child marriage will continue till the next Assembly elections, which are scheduled for 2026. So far, a total of more than 4000 cases have been registered by the police department, with an additional 4000 on the verge of being inducted. Himanta Biswa Himanta Biswa Child marriage is one of the dark sides of the otherwise growing nation.
