For the first time, America has kept its own defense technology and assistance at stake to help Taiwan. The first monetary sanction by the US for Taiwan’s defense against China includes a package of 345 million dollars.
Utilities of The Financial Assistance
The financial assistance will include “defense, education and training for the Taiwanese.” The Chinese government has protested the action of the US, however Taiwan says that it would turn out to be “an important tool to support Taiwan's self-defense.”

The US lawmakers intend to provide enough weapons to Taiwan so as to deter China from progressing into any military action against Taiwan. Even if it does, China would have to face high costs of war. Getting stockpiles of weapons beforehand is one of the many lessons that the US has learnt from the ongoing Russia Ukraine war.
