AAP leader Priyanka Kakkar accused Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini of staging a publicity stunt by pretending to drink Yamuna water to counter pollution allegations. The political tussle escalated with a controversy over a suspicious vehicle found near Punjab Bhawan, which Punjab officials claimed was unrelated to their government.

AAP leader Priyanka Kakkar accused Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini of misleading the public by pretending to drink polluted Yamuna water amid allegations of water contamination. She claimed that Saini took a sip only to spit it out moments later.
The controversy erupted after former Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal alleged that Haryana’s BJP-led government had "poisoned" the Yamuna’s water supply, endangering Delhi residents. In response, Saini visited the Yamuna River in Palla village and publicly took a sip of its water to refute Kejriwal’s claims. Saini dismissed Kejriwal’s remarks as an attempt to "create fear for political gains."

Meanwhile, the AAP and BJP clashed over another incident involving a suspicious vehicle found near Punjab Bhawan in Delhi. The vehicle, bearing a Punjab registration plate and “Punjab Sarkar” markings, contained large amounts of cash, liquor bottles, and AAP pamphlets. Delhi Police launched an investigation, but the Punjab government clarified that the number plate was forged and denied any links to the vehicle.
