Along this approach, the government has prohibited female NGO workers from working and has closed the majority of the country's secondary schools for girls for more than a year. Furthermore, the Taliban's Education Ministry would also take legal action against any institutions that disobeyed its regulations. The minister for higher education, Neda Mohammad Nadeem, asserted that Afghan female students had disregarded Islamic rules about what to wear and travel to schools and universities with a male relative. "They appeared as though they were attending a wedding. Girls who commuted to universities from their homes also disregarded the hijab rules", Mohammad Nadeem added.Additionally, Nadeem claimed that several science fields were inappropriate for Afghan women. The honour and dignity of Afghan culture and female students are not addressed by engineering, agriculture and many other courses.
