Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to release the BJP's 'Sankalp Patra' for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls. During his two-day visit, Shah will also meet party leaders and workers, followed by the official launch of the BJP's election campaign in Jammu tomorrow.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to release the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) ‘Sankalp Patra’ (manifesto) for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections today. Shah, who is currently on a two-day visit to the Union Territory, will unveil the party’s electoral promises at a special event held in Jammu around 3:30 PM. The release of the manifesto is expected to take place in the presence of senior BJP leaders.
This visit comes at a critical time for the BJP as the party prepares for the much-anticipated assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir, a region that has seen both political upheavals and rising challenges in recent months. Shah's presence is aimed at energizing the party base and reinforcing BJP’s position amid defections and protests after ticket rejections. Security measures have been tightened across Jammu, especially at key locations like the BJP's media center in the Channi area.
Later today, Amit Shah will also convene a meeting with party leaders and workers to discuss campaign strategies ahead of the elections. On the second day of his visit, Shah is scheduled to officially launch the BJP’s election campaign in the region by addressing a major rally in Jammu. This rally is expected to set the tone for BJP’s broader electoral outreach.
