Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday took a dig at incumbent Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, affectionately known as 'Mama' by many.
Kejriwal urged the public not to trust 'Mama' and instead place their faith in him, their 'Chacha'.
Addressing a gathering in Satna, Kejriwal unveiled his vision for the state, encapsulated in his 'Kejriwal ki Guarantee'.
He pledged to ensure round-the-clock electricity for the state, a service that has eluded Madhya Pradesh despite decades under Congress and BJP rule. Kejriwal also challenged voters with a simple choice: "Vote for AAP if you want power supply, or vote for these two parties if you want power cuts."
One of the primary pillars of Kejriwal's campaign is the eradication of corruption. He promised that, if elected, his government would streamline services such as obtaining ration cards and licenses, sparing citizens the hassle of navigating government bureaucracy.
Government officials, under AAP rule, would bring these services to people's doorsteps, much like the system successfully implemented in Delhi and Punjab.
In a nod to the elderly, Kejriwal introduced the "teerth darshan yojna," offering pilgrimage opportunities to senior citizens at the destination of their choice. Additionally, he declared a ₹1 crore honorarium for soldiers and constables who lose their lives in the line of duty, displaying his commitment to the state's security forces.
While Kejriwal's promises are garnering attention, he hinted at forthcoming plans tailored for farmers and tribal communities, details of which will be revealed in due course.
