Over than 1,000 fake SIM cards, as well as 530 handsets and cell phones, were used in this fraud, as per EOW, Odisha Police. The scammers, as stated by the authorities, were quite clever and predicted every move that police departments would make. They only used WhatsApp to make voice calls while using fake SIM cards. To avoid caller proof of identity, they saved their cellphone number in combination with the Scheme name. If anyone wants to check their name on "True Caller," the scheme name will be showcased. The cons, as reported by the police, used to have a strong policy not to commit crimes using their mobiles. Nearly 100 mule accounts were used in this scheme. They only needed the mule acct and the Jan Seva Kendra's QR code.By having taken such actions, they ensured that there were no phone or bank account places to visit. The scammers would build a website that appeared to be from the govt and displayed job ads mainly in the health or skill depts. As reported by the police, some of the webpages even used "Pradhan-Mantri schemes" to tempt and accomodate job seekers.

Fraudsters also heavily marketed in local publications, but they used fictional identities, WhatsApp calls, or other similar platforms, and only transferred money through mule bank accounts.Based on how many aspirants believe them, they may charge applicants that from Rs 3000 to Rs 50,000 for enrollment, interview prepping, and other activities. In most cases, they select all candidates who enrolled or required to submit job applications. To earn the confidence of aspirants, Odisha police kept insisting on making deals solely through their official website.
It is correct that we must act quickly against such individuals, but awareness programs are also necessary considering that the more common people are aware, the fewer such crimes will occur.
