On Tuesday, there will be a full shutdown in Bengaluru because farmers, Kannada groups, and political parties have declared a ‘Bandh’ to oppose sending water from the Cauvery river in Karnataka to Tamil Nadu. To support this, schools and colleges in the city will be closed as it’s been declared a public holiday.

In Bengaluru, the Police Commissioner, B Dayananda, has decided to impose Section 144, which means that gatherings of more than five people won’t be allowed.
