A British woman who traveled to Delhi to meet a man she befriended on Instagram was allegedly raped by him and his accomplice at a hotel in Mahipalpur. The incident has led to the arrest of both suspects, and the British High Commission has been informed.

According to Delhi Police, the accused, identified as Kailash, had been in contact with the victim for months via social media. The woman, a resident of London, was touring Maharashtra and Goa when she decided to meet him. However, Kailash insisted that she visit Delhi instead. Upon her arrival on Tuesday, she checked into a hotel in Mahipalpur, where she met Kailash and his friend, Wasim.

The three had drinks and dinner before heading to her room. According to reports, Kailash allegedly assaulted her despite her resistance. When she protested, Wasim entered the room, purportedly to pacify her. The woman later reported the incident to the police, leading to the immediate arrest of both men. While Kailash has been charged with rape, Wasim faces molestation charges.
