The investigation agency also raided locations linked to a man named Prem Chand Gupta in Noida, Delhi and Gurugram.

CBI searches:-

On Tuesday, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out searches at nine places in Patna and Bhojpur districts of Bihar. These locations were associated with Arun Yadav, a former leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and his wife Kiran Devi.

The searches were conducted as part of an investigation into an alleged scam involving the exchange of land for job opportunities.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has carried out searches at the residences of Rajya Sabha MP Prem Chand Gupta in Noida, Delhi, and Gurugram as part of an ongoing investigation into an alleged scam involving the exchange of land for job positions.

The CBI has been actively investigating former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav and multiple members of his family concerning this particular case.

Simultaneous raids are currently taking place in multiple locations across Bihar, Delhi, Haryana, and Noida. As part of these operations, the CBI team arrived at Devi's residence in Agiaon village, Bhojpur, and commenced searches.

Additionally, another CBI team is conducting searches at her official residence in Patna, which is situated near Haj Bhawan. Notably, stringent security measures have been implemented during these search operations.

On March 6, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) questioned Rabri Devi, former chief minister, at her official residence regarding an alleged scam involving exchanging land for jobs.

The CBI has filed a First Information Report (FIR) against 17 individuals, including Rabri, her husband Lalu Prasad, and their daughter Misa Bharti.

Previously, on January 13, the CBI received the required sanction from the central government to prosecute Lalu Prasad in connection with the alleged land-for-jobs case. This sanction is necessary for the CBI to proceed with the trial against him.

According to the spokesperson of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), under the amended Prevention of Corruption Act, a central agency must obtain prior sanction before prosecuting a public servant.

The CBI has fulfilled this requirement by submitting the persecution sanction to the court in New Delhi. Last year in October, the CBI filed a chargesheet against former Bihar Chief Minister Lalu Prasad, his family members, and 13 others in the land-for-jobs scam.

During the period when Lalu Prasad Yadav served as the railway minister between 2004 and 2009, an alleged scam is said to have occurred. The chargesheet filed in this Case not only implicates Yadav, who is a leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) but also involves the former railway general manager.
