Celebrations Underway for 41st Annual India Day Parade in New York, USA

The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), the largest collective of the Indian diaspora in the United States, commemorated its 41st Annual India Day Parade in Madison Ave, New York City at noon, 12:00 PM on Sunday, August 20, 2023. This event is known as the World's Largest India Day Parade.
For over four decades, the FIA-NY-NJ-CT-NE New York Annual India Day Parade has been a prominent event every August, commemorating India's Independence Day. This parade is renowned as the largest of its kind outside of India, uniting thousands of members from the Indian Diaspora for an immense cultural celebration in New York City.
Participants could indulge in an array of activities, including an Indian cultural program, a sustainability fair, a grand parade, informative messages on vibrant floats, an International Millets Food Fest, a variety of delicious food options at various booths, and much more. It stands as the most significant India Day festival for Indo-American residents.
The free event included Live Performances, Bollywood Celebs, Colorful Floats, International Millets Food Fest, Cultural Extravaganza and Street Fair.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu exuded pride and joy as she took the lead in the 41st Annual India Day Parade in NYC. The previous year, Allu Arjun was honored with the role of Grand Marshal at the annual India Day Parade. This marks another moment of pride for both India and the Indian film industry, as Samantha now takes the leadership position for this year's parade.
The parade was attended by notable individuals, including Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, actors Samantha Prabhu and Jacqueline Fernandez, as well as New York City Mayor Eric Adams, among others.
