So far as the hearing of the bail application of the Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case connected with the excise scam is concerned, the Delhi court has set down June 19. The move occurred after the Enforcement Directorate (ED) sought the court’s permission to adjourn the case to June 25.

Further, Additional Sessions Judge Mukesh Kumar, who was on the helm of the court during the proceedings on Friday, has also listed an application filed by Mr. It was the application made to obtain directions for the wife to be allowed to participate in the deliberations of the medical board that was formed to review the health and treatment of the Chief Minister. The jail authority has been called upon to respond to this matter by the judge.

The accused resisted the ED’s plea for an adjournment which prompted the judge to explain that he would consider the convenience of the accused for the next date, not the probe agency. “The accused is in judicial custody not in your custody If he wants some convenience you have no role to play at all,” the judge said.

The same day on 5th June the same court had dismissed Mr. Kejriwal’s application for interim bail on medical grounds. But the judge had said that the Tihar jail authorities should look into the medical circumstances of the Chief Minister as he resides detained in jail. The judicial remand of Mr. Kejriwal has been granted till June 19.

It is associated with the alleged excise scam in Delhi wherein the ED has filed a chargesheet against Mr. The court has listed the matter for July 9 with a direction to take cognizance of the charge sheet filed by the police.

The case continues and the hearing of the bail has been scheduled on June 19. Finally, it still depends on the court on whether to grant the bail for Mr. Kejriwal and whether the wife will be allowed to attend the medical board proceedings through video conference.
