Fire at Lokhandwala Complex Claims Three Lives

A major fire at Riya Palace in Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri, Mumbai, killed three residents on Wednesday morning. The blaze, which started on the 10th floor around 8 a.m., was extinguished by 9 a.m. The cause remains unknown, and authorities are investigating the building's safety protocols.

A devastating fire broke out early Wednesday at Riya Palace in Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri, Mumbai, claiming the lives of three residents. The blaze ignited around 8 a.m. on the 10th floor of the building on 4th Cross Road. Firefighters and emergency services quickly responded, managing to extinguish the fire by 9 a.m.

Three individuals were seriously injured and rushed to Cooper Hospital. Sadly, doctors declared them dead on arrival. The victims were identified as Chandraprakash Soni (74), Kanta Soni (74), and Pelubeta (42).

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the events that led to the tragic incident. Residents in the area are shaken, as the fire has raised concerns about safety protocols in high-rise buildings. The local civic body and the fire brigade will be conducting a thorough inquiry into the fire and the building's compliance with safety standards.
