Ganesh Chaturthi: Artists Showcase Talents, from Miniature to Sand Art Ganpati

In Bhubaneswar, a talented artist named L Eswar Rao from Odisha makes small and environmentally friendly statues of Lord Ganesha, Goddesses Laxmi, and Saraswati for the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Odisha-based miniature artist L Eswar Rao stated that, like the previous year, he had created these miniature eco-friendly idols for Ganesh Chaturthi and mentioned that it had taken him seven days to craft these idols.
A female artist from Surat crafted an environmentally friendly Lord Ganesha idol using soap for the Ganesh Chaturthi celebration.
Aditi Mittal, a female artist from Surat, mentioned that she had been creating eco-friendly Ganesha idols for the past six years. She explained that this year, she decided to carve Ganesha idols based on PM Modi's 'Swachta Abhiyan' concept and used soap for this purpose. She further stated that they used a total of 2655 kg of soap and spent seven days creating the idols. She added that they planned to distribute the soap in the slum area for Visarjan.
A day before Ganesh Chaturthi, the famous sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik from Odisha crafted a beautiful representation of Lord Ganesha on Puri beach. He used steel bowls to create the artwork, which carried a message of 'World Peace.'
On his recent sand artwork, Pattnaik informed ANI that they had designed this unique sand sculpture for Ganesh puja. The sculpture was crafted using steel and sand, with approximately 100 kilograms of steel and around 1,000 different steel items used in its creation. He added that every year, during Ganesh puja, they aim to present something innovative. This time, they conveyed the message of 'World Peace' through their art.
