Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has reportedly been detained in California. Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has reportedly been detained by U.S. authorities in California, according to Indian security officials. While no formal confirmation has been received, preliminary reports suggest Bishnoi was detained four to five days ago in Fresno. Indian agencies are working through official channels to ascertain the circumstances of his detention.

Anmol Bishnoi has been a key figure in running the Lawrence Bishnoi gang’s operations abroad, coordinating with associates such as Goldy Brar. The gang’s extensive network spans multiple Indian states, targeting industrialists, political leaders, and celebrities for extortion, often resorting to violence. Investigators link Bishnoi to significant criminal acts, including the shooting outside actor Salman Khan’s residence and the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique.

The Mumbai Police and National Investigation Agency (NIA) have intensified their pursuit of Bishnoi in recent months. The NIA added him to its most-wanted list, offering a ₹10 lakh reward for his capture. His involvement in the 2022 murder of singer Sidhu Moose Wala and associations with pro-Khalistan groups like Babbar Khalsa International underscore the severity of his criminal activities.

Indian officials are reportedly preparing to submit an extradition request to bring Bishnoi back to face justice. His detention follows the recent apprehension of another wanted gangster, Arsh Dalla, in Canada, signaling growing international cooperation in curbing organized crime syndicates.

As investigations continue, authorities hope Bishnoi’s capture will dismantle parts of the gang’s transnational network, described by the NIA as a "new underworld" with deep connections to industries like music, sports, and the entertainment sector.
