In a groundbreaking move, Google has
unveiled a range of premium .ing domains, offering website creators a unique
way to enhance their online presence. These innovative domains empower users to
craft single-word websites suffixed with 'ing,' allowing for endless creativity
and accessibility.
Google's official blog post highlights
that users can now secure .ing domains during an exclusive early access period,
with one important caveat: an additional one-time fee. This fee will
progressively decrease daily until December 5th, after which .ing domains will
become publicly available at 16:00 UTC (noon ET).
"This top-level domain is ready for
whatever you're interested in, whether it's making a fun website, donating to a
good cause, designing something beautiful, or editing an existing
document," said Christina Yeh, a Google representative. If you're going on
an adventure, getting a tattoo, having a dumpl.ing, or adjusting to anything
new,.ing is ready to go."
However, these cutting-edge domains come at a premium cost. During the early access period, some popular words ending in 'ing' can be quite expensive. For instance, securing 'think.ing' and 'buy.ing' will set you back Rs 32,49,999 and 1,08,33,332.50 per year, respectively. Meanwhile, more budget-friendly options include 'kin.ing' at Rs 16,249.17 per year and 'dye.ing' at Rs 3,24,999 per year.

While the price of early access to these
domains is sky-high, there are still opportunities to acquire reasonably priced
options. However, it's worth noting that many of the most interesting .ing
domains, particularly those composed of common English words, are likely
already taken. For example, Canva has secured 'design.ing' and 'draw.ing,'
while Adobe Acrobat owns 'edit.ing' and 'sign.ing.'
In sum, Google's introduction of .ing domains represents a significant shift in the way websites are created and accessed. With its unique approach and creative potential, this innovation promises to revolutionize the digital landscape for website creators and users alike.
