In a dramatic turn of events, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, found himself in the midst of turmoil outside the grand Islamabad High Court. Startling reports indicate that Khan, who also heads the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political party, was apprehended by the vigilant Rangers, a formidable paramilitary force entrusted with upholding federal law.


The arrest came at a critical juncture as Khan was expected to make his appearance before the esteemed court to face allegations of corruption, alongside a mutiny case and grave charges of attempted murder. The atmosphere was charged with suspense as Khan's unexpected detainment unfolded, painting a picture of intrigue and uncertainty in the heart of the nation's capital.


Upon entering the gate of the IHC, eyewitnesses reported that Khan was swiftly accompanied by paramilitary forces and armored personnel carriers. The entrance was subsequently obstructed by the armored vehicles, providing a high level of security as Khan was swiftly taken away.

The police in Islamabad have announced the implementation of Section 144 within the national capital.


Islamabad Police have announced the arrest of Imran in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case. It is alleged that Imran, along with his wife, acquired a large piece of land from a real estate firm worth approximately PKR 50 billion. The Inspector General, Akbar Nasir Khan, stated that the situation in Islamabad is under control, with Section 144 imposed in the city. He also warned that strict action would be taken against those who violate the imposed regulations. 



In addition, Rana Sanaullah, the Interior Minister, stated that Imran failed to attend court hearings even after receiving several notifications. The National Accountability Bureau executed the arrest based on allegations of inflicting financial harm to the country's treasury.


Al - Qadir Trust case

The Al-Qadir Trust case involves an inquiry conducted by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, along with his wife Bushra Bibi and other leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) political party. The investigation is centered around a settlement between the PTI government and a prominent real estate magnate, which allegedly resulted in a loss of approximately PKR 50 billion to the national treasury.


According to the charges, it is claimed that Khan and the other accused individuals improperly utilized PKR 50 billion provided by the National Crime Agency of Britain to the Pakistani government. Furthermore, they are accused of receiving unfair advantages, including the acquisition of over 458 kanals of land in Mouza Bakrala, Sohawa, for the establishment of Al Qadir University.

Fawad also alleged that Imran Khan had been forcefully taken from the court by unidentified individuals and his whereabouts were unknown. Azhar Mashwani, another PTI leader, accused the Rangers of abducting Imran Khan and called for nationwide protests.
