The investigation is centered around a settlement between the PTI government and a prominent real estate magnate, which allegedly resulted in a loss of approximately PKR 50 billion to the national treasury.

According to the charges, it is claimed that Khan and the other accused individuals improperly utilized PKR 50 billion provided by the National Crime Agency of Britain to the Pakistani government. Furthermore, they are accused of receiving unfair advantages, including the acquisition of over 458 kanals of land in Mouza Bakrala, Sohawa, for the establishment of Al Qadir University.
