ChatGPT is an AI chatbot that utilizes natural language processing to generate human-like conversational dialogue. The language model is capable of responding to queries and producing various forms of written content, such as articles, social media posts, essays, code, and emails. ChatGPT operates through its Generative Pre-trained Transformer, which utilizes specialized algorithms to identify patterns within data sequences. ChatGPT employs the GPT-3 language model, a neural network machine learning model that is the third generation of Generative Pre-trained Transformer. The transformer draws on a vast quantity of data to formulate a response.
Has ChatGPT put your job at risk? This question has been on everyone's mind since the chatbot emerged in late 2020. While many have praised ChatGPT for simplifying complex issues, others have criticized it for its potential impact on education. What exactly is ChatGPT and how does it operate?
However, Infosys
founder Narayana Murthy dismissed all concerns about ChatGPT or AI taking over
human jobs. Speaking at the NASSCOM Technology and Leadership Forum 2023, he
praised ChatGPT as a positive development. He recounted his experience using
the chatbot, saying, "I have used ChatGPT. My son introduced me to it a few
months ago. It provides you with the knowledge and then you can use it further
as per your creativity." Murthy explained that it would not result in job
losses, stating, "Even in 1977-78, there were programme generators that
had come in and so everybody feared for jobs but that didn't happen. Because
the human mind is the most flexible instrument. So, it was then used to help
bigger problems with human creativity and tech together. Therefore,
"ChatGPT is a good tool, but we must use it as a foundation and then
utilize it to showcase our creativity and tackle larger issues. Whether it's
ChatGPT or AI, it will never replace humans," he concluded.
