IPL 2023: BCCI Introduced Some Changes to Make the Game More Exciting

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is set to begin on March 31 in Ahmedabad, with the first match between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings. Furthermore, the Impact player can only be an Indian player unless the team has less than four overseas players in their playing 11 on the match day.

The New Toss rule, inspired by the South African T20 league, allows teams to have two team sheets, one for batting first and one for bowling first. This rule aims to level the playing field and reduce the impact of the toss on the outcome of the match. Teams can field their best team based on the result of the toss, giving them a better chance to win.

Lastly, the expansion of DRS to include no balls and wides given by on-field umpires aims to reduce controversies in the league. Captains can now review these decisions, which can significantly impact the outcome of the game.
