Prominent actors like Shivarajkumar, Darshan, 'Duniya' Vijay, and Dhruva Sarja led the demonstration near Sri Gururaja Kalyana Mantapa in Bengaluru. This protest was in response to a call for action that aimed to express opposition to the water release.

The support for the bandh extended beyond the stars, with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce officially backing the day-long shutdown.
