On Monday, the police said that a dispute with the owner of a classic sports car led to the automobile's total destruction on a local road. The fight was apparently initiated by someone who was involved in the buying and selling of used autos, along with a few other people.
According to his contacts, the owner of the 2009 Lamborghini wanted to get rid of the car because it was thought to be worth one crore rupees. He had asked a few friends for assistance in finding a buyer for the vehicle.
The owner's acquaintance had been approached by the principal accused, who requested that he bring the car. The principal accused knew someone who was familiar with the car owner previously named.
The police claimed that on the evening of April 13, he and a few others used gasoline to set fire to the car on Mamidipalli Road, which is on the outskirts of the city. They subsequently claimed that the owner of the car owed them money.
After the owner of the car lodged a complaint, a case was registered under Section 435 of the Indian Penal Code, which addresses the deliberate use of fire or explosive materials to inflict harm.
