As the wrestlers’ protest intensifies, politicians and activists all over the country have come forward to back them. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has expressed her sheer support for the protesting wrestlers with an extravagant move.

On Wednesday, Mamata Banerjee, more popularly known as ‘Didi’ in West Bengal, organized a candle march. Mamata Banerjee was joined by hundreds of people in her march upto the Ravindra Sadan from Hazara Mod in the capital city of Kolkata. The candle march was complimented with slogans and posters for the cause.

Extending comforting verbal support, Mamata Banerjee said, “Our team will go to meet the wrestlers and support them. We are with you, that’s why we have taken out this rally today. It will continue tomorrow also. Wrestlers are the pride of our country. We are with you in your fight.”
