Congress MP Manish Tewari shared a poetic social media post hinting at his exclusion from the Operation Sindoor debate. Referencing Shashi Tharoor and a patriotic verse, Tewari’s message sparked speculation of internal disagreement within the Congress party as key voices were absent from a major parliamentary discussion on national security.

Congress MP Manish Tewari posted a cryptic message on social media Tuesday morning, hinting at his absence from the Lok Sabha debate on Operation Sindoor. The post included a patriotic verse, a “pro-India” sentiment, and a screenshot referencing the decision not to let him or fellow MP Shashi Tharoor speak during the high-stakes discussion.
The move has stirred speculation within political circles and media, as both Tewari and Tharoor were reportedly part of the parliamentary delegations that visited international partners to highlight India’s anti-terrorism stance post-Operation Sindoor. Their exclusion from the debate raised eyebrows given their direct involvement in the diplomatic campaign following the Pahalgam terror attack.
Tewari’s post quoted a famous patriotic Hindi song: “Hai Preet jahaan ki reet sada, Main geet wahan ke gaata hoon, Bharat ka rehne waala hoon, Bharat ki baat sunata hoon.” The message was widely interpreted as a veiled expression of dissent or disappointment towards the party’s internal decision-making.
While the Congress party has yet to offer an explanation, the silence of its seasoned MPs during a nationally significant debate has not gone unnoticed. The Operation Sindoor discussions in Parliament—triggered by India’s military response to the Pahalgam attack—drew extensive attention from all parties, making the absence of voices like Tewari and Tharoor particularly notable.
